IFC and Shop Drawing Extraction Service

A building project requires a set of drawings at the various stages of the project cycle to convey design information and for its development. With its IFC and shop drawing extraction service, eLogicTech offers to extract construction drawings of different stages for better facility management.

The years of experience in variety of AEC projects has given the engineers at eLogicTech the competence to understand the clients' requirements for detailed IFC drawings. eLogicTech follows a process-oriented approach to extract IFC and Shop Drawings which includes defining the project scope, extraction of 2D drawings from 3D BIM model, rectification of errors and alignment of the drawings with the global standard.

BIM Level of Development (LOD) is an industry standard that defines how the 3D geometry of the building model can achieve different levels of refinement, is used as a measure of the service level required. These development models are purpose built for various stages of design, 3D visualization, construction-caliber quantities, scheduling, estimations, on-site production control and fabrication. Using the Level of Detail (LOD) industry specifications as a guide, S&S 3D Modeling Service will create a 3D model of your projects based on the specificity required. We also deliver animation services for LOD in the sequence for virtual construction sequencing and simulation to develop insights of how and what will be constructed.

S&S has expertise of delivering LOD for different levels. S&S offers five LOD options ranging from 100 to 500. We adopt internationally accepted standard for LOD.

S&S’s unique simulation techniques and vast experience with production simulation software has yielded great results for its clients in the field of healthcare, transportation, food industry, manufacturing etc. Production simulation’s long record of improving operational efficiency and effectiveness spans many fields of interest – manufacturing, commercial transportation and logistics, health care, public-sector transport, service industries, and military operations. Discrete-event process simulation has now established a superb record of its ability to improve the efficiency of queuing processes without extravagant over-expenditures on either equipment or personnel.

Modelling a range of options early in the design process
We use our proprietary simulation tools such as our BIM-integrated ‘SmartMove’, to measure and model behaviours. Its real-time simulation capability can help optimise spaces and processes during early stage design concept optioneering, as well as operational planning stages.
SmartMove is our specialist circulation modelling service. We use it to assess how people interact with your buildings, processes, and environments, giving us evidence to assess the performance of designs and operations. Being able to test the placement of gates, doorways, corridors, key attraction points and many other factors, long before a design is finalised can save on costly errors, and better still, create opportunities to enhance the user’s experience and ultimately deliver better commercial outcomes for the client.
At the High Line in New York, we have been called back in to manage our own success. Our original design has proved so successful that there is now a need to further refine the operations to avoid overcrowding. Our work to analyse its use and crowd flow will inform the strategy moving forward.

To develop the most appropriate and proportionate solution, it is important that security is considered early. Security solutions that are overbearing can make users feel uncomfortable and aware of risks.

Ensuring safe and comfortable wind conditions in public and private outdoor spaces is now an essential element of the design process for all major projects. With the dual capability of either wind tunnel testing or analysis using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), S&S can advise on the most suitable methodology for your project.

What makes a facade function properly? Apart from the obvious, like weather resistance, airtightness and making sure it doesn’t fall off the building, a big consideration is the energy impact on the building itself. An efficient, buildable facade makes for a better building and we work constantly to provide more efficient skins.

Whether this is for an intricate design such as for The Cube, Birmingham, or the grandeur of Hamad International Airport, Qatar with vertical glass facade systems more than 25 metres in height, we apply engineering rigour.

Our experience with hundreds of buildings worldwide, in a variety of climates, has also given us a deep understanding of practical construction issues. We are proud to have developed the first fully automated double-skin facade of its kind in the US for The Tower at PNC Plaza.
